A motorcyclist of Fingal Street, Rose Hall Town, Corentyne Berbice was on Saturday night killed in a suspected hit and run accident on the Letter Kenny Public Road.
According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force Headquarters, 25-year-old Shawn Smith was found in an unconscious state with injuries to the face and body at about 22:55hrs on Saturday.
He was rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries whilst receiving medical attention.
The motorcycle CK 2517 with damages to the front and other parts, is lodged.
The Force has promised a further update on the incident.
