Father of one stabbed to death in Timehri
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 24-year-old Lawrence Raymond Benjamin, who was stabbed to death early Sunday at Timehri, East Bank Demerara.
The young father of one was covered in a pool of blood in a white plastic chair under a shed in the community at around 09:45hrs in the vicinity of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport at Timehri.
Benjamin was last seen alive by his mother at home on Ice House Road in Timehri.
Regional Commander Senior Superintendent Kurleigh Simon told the News Room that the Police are still trying to ascertain who killed the young man and what the motive is.
“We don’t have the facts on how he received his injuries but what we know is that he was found under a shed sitting in a chair with stab wounds,” the Commander told the News Room.
Benjamin was found with stab wounds to the neck and left side rib.
He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
