After initially announcing that all post offices will be closed from Thursday, the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has announced special arrangements for persons to uplift Old Age and NIS pensions.
Old age and NIS pensions vouchers can be cashed on April 16, 17, 22, 23, 29 & 30, 2020 at all Post Offices from 09:00 hrs. to 15:00 hrs.
Regular mail service will be suspended until further notice.
Bulk mail will be accepted on April 16 & 17, 2020. Notices will be publicized and sent to the relevant agencies.
Treasury pensions will be paid on April 22 & 23, 2020, at all Post Offices from 09:00 hrs. to 15:00 hrs.
The GPOC said it will continue to provide updates through its website and social media pages.
