66 COVID-19 cases, 5 in ICU

As of April 20, Guyana confirmed one new case of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases to 66, including seven deaths and nine recoveries.

The Ministry of Public Health announced Monday that 328 persons have tested for the disease of which 262 results were negative.

There are 50 persons in institutional isolation.

The Ministry said persons in institutional quarantine has decreased from 21 to 17 while persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has increased by one to five.

On Sunday, there were four persons in the COVID-19 ICU.

Region Four accounts for the majority of cases in the country.
