Message of Condolence on the death of Mr. Keith Massiah, SC

Georgetown, Guyana – (April 26, 2020) His Excellency David Granger, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is saddened at the death of former Chancellor of the Judiciary, Mr. Keith Massiah, SC.

Mr. Massiah, 93, died on Friday, April 24, 2020 at a city hospital following a period of illness.

He was appointed Chancellor of the Judiciary in 1984 and retired from that position in 1988. He also served as Attorney General of Guyana.

President Granger expresses heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Massiah’s wife, Mrs. Maureen Massiah, OR, his three children, three grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
