Police are investigating the armed robbery of a delivery truck which occurred at about 09:00h on Thursday in Rasville, Georgetown.
Police Headquarters said that the two bandits, one of whom was armed with a handgun, assaulted the driver and the two porters and subsequently relieved them of personal items along with a sum of cash that belonged to the company they are employed with.
The victims received medical attention at the East La Penitence Health Centre and were sent away.
“Stringent efforts are currently being made to quickly apprehend the suspects. The crime which was captured on CCTV camera,” the Police statement said.
The bandits escaped on a motorcycle.
