Fire Service called in after ‘burning smell’ at Recount Site

The Guyana Fire Service was called in to investigate a “burning smell” at the Arthur Chung Conference Center Wednesday night where the recount of votes is taking place.

Public Relations Officer of the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) Yolanda Ward said, “There was a burning smell and they were called. Currently checking and assessing the situation”.
