Bandits invade home of Lamaha Park couple
Police are on the hunt for three bandits who invaded the home of a Lamaha Park, Georgetown couple in the wee hours of Sunday and escaped with their wedding bands and other valuables.
Regional Commander Senior Superintendent, Phillip Azore told the News Room one of the bandits was armed with a gun; they gained entry to the house by removing a mosquito screen on the eastern side and exited through the front door after robbing the couple.
The News Room understands that the bandits woke up the young couple at around 03:15h and relieved them of two laptops, an iPhone 11, a Samsung cellphone and their wedding bands – two gold and diamond rings.
The male victim, Delroy West in a social media post said, “My wife and I were awoken by bandits in our home at 3:15am today! We are alive and well! They escaped with valuables.”
The Commander said the bandits fired one round in the air before escaping.
Police investigations are ongoing.
