The Certificates of District Tabulation for Region Nine were signed off on Tuesday with the APNU+AFC again refusing to sign.

According to the recount, the APNU+AFC gained 4,887 votes compared to 4,889 previously declared while the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) gained 7,070 votes compared to 7,068 in the original declaration.

The other two parties which gained votes in the Upper Takatu – Upper Essequibo Region were the Liberty and Justice Party (LJP) and the United Republican Party (URP); their votes remained at 277 and 27, respectively.

Region Nine is the seventh District to be tabulated. The remaining regions Six, Four and Ten are still being counted.

The recount has so far showed the PPP winning the most votes in Regions 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9 while the Coalition has so far won the most votes in Region 7 and 8.
