Cintiana Harry is new Miss Earth Guyana
Organisers of Miss Earth Guyana have cancelled the pageant this year and has selected Berbician Cintiana Harry as the 2020 queen, but whether she takes part in the international pageant remains to be seen.
“Guyana’s participation at the 20th Edition of the Miss Earth pageant will be carefully examined taking into consideration the safety of its team, sponsors and new queen,” the organisers said in a statement.
The organization also announced that Dr. Omesh Balmacoon is the pageant’s new National Director, replacing Dave Lalltoo. Dr. Balmacoon, the organization said, has served as its Managing Director since 2017.
Lalltoo now heads an organisation called rECOver, which will partner with the pageant.
In 2018, Harry was named Miss Berbice “I am Big a Deal” 1st runner-up and in 2019, she was crowned as the first Miss Eco-Guyana.
“Miss Eco Guyana is significant to the Miss Earth Guyana brand as it comprises the responsibilities for the three elements air, water and fire,” the organisers stated.
