A 50-year-old man and his 21-year-old daughter were robbed at gunpoint by two men on a motorcycle on Sunday at Pandit Street, Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara.
Regional Commander Senior Superintendent, Kurleigh Simon told the News Room the robbery occurred at about 12:45hrs.
The father and daughter who reside at Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara were making their way home when they were robbed of two cellphones valued a total of $105,000 and $25,000 in cash.
“Information is that the victims were going to get transportation to go back to West Demerara when the two assailants rode up on them,” the Commander said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
