A Police Lance Corporal received minor injuries Tuesday afternoon after he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed on the Triumph Public Road, on the East Coast of Demerara.
Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner Royston Andries Junor said the Officer was not on duty at the time of the accident and was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
In a video seen by the News Room, the car landed face down in a drain and is completely wrecked.
The cop was extracted from the vehicle by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Nichols Hospital in Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara.
