A bandit was shot dead at One Mile, Wismar, Linden Wednesday afternoon during a robbery. He has been identified as Kevin Batson of Victory Valley, Linden. His accomplice has since been arrested and is in police custody.
Regional Commander Hugh Winter told the News Room that the bandit was shot by a licensed firearm holder after they robbed him of cash and other valuables. The victim owns and operates a hardware store.
The firearm has since been recovered and police investigations are ongoing.
