Two new COVID-19 cases recorded from 44 more tests

Guyana on Thursday recorded two new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 158.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Shamdeo Persaud revealed that 44 additional tests were conducted which revealed the two new cases.

The COVID-19 deaths remain at 12; to date, the total number of persons tested is 1, 920 with the number of negative cases being 1,762.

Currently, 92 persons have recovered which means there are 54 active cases in institutional isolation, including one patient in the COVID ICU and 22 persons are in institutional quarantine.
