CANU destroys ganja farm at St Cuthbert’s Mission

Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Saturday arrested one person at St Cuthbert’s Mission (Pakuri) Linden Soesdyke Highway, following the discovery of a Cannabis farm.

CANU in a statement said the ranks acted on intelligence and converged on the farm to find a makeshift camp and extensive cultivation of cannabis plants.

Ranks seized 15.4 kilograms of dried cannabis plants and destroyed approximately 1,500 three-feet plants with an approximate weight of 275 pounds.

The person was found on the farm and is in custody assisting with investigations.
