BREAKING: Elderly woman found dead with hands and feet tied

Police are probing the death of an 82-year-old woman whose body was discovered in her  Sixth Street Tain, Corentyne Berbice, home Wednesday morning.

The elderly woman was only identified as ‘Aunty Dayo’; the News Room understands that she lived alone.

Reports reaching the News Room indicate that a neighbour who usually takes care of her made the gruesome discovery.

The woman’s hands and feet were bound and it is believed she was strangled to death.

Neighbours at the scene told the News Room that three months ago, thieves had invaded the woman’s house, assaulted her and carted off with her jewellery and other valuables but she was too scared to make a Police report.
