A 22-year-old gunman is under Police guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he fell off his motorcycle and injured himself while attempting a robbery on Friday night.
Police said the suspect is the same man who was seen in a video with his accomplice, on June 22, robbing an Albouystown resident.
The first robbery footage was captured on CCTV and was circulated on social media platform, Facebook. It showed the bandits riding alongside the Albouystown resident who was also on a motorcycle before crashing into him, stealing his valuables and riding away from the scene.
Police in a statement on Saturday said “information received that the suspects attempted the same stunt as seen in the video, last evening but fell off their motorcycle in the process and injured themselves.”
The second suspect was reportedly whisked away from the scene and is being pursued by investigators.
