Businessman shot twice during robbery, in critical condition at GPHC

A 56-year-old businessman of Howes Street, Charlestown Georgetown is in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was shot during a robbery Wednesday.

David Cameron was shot to the abdomen and right thigh.

Police Headquarters in a statement said the incident occurred at about 17:30h at Cameron’s business at Howes Street.

Police said Cameron was in his cold storage bond, which is attached to the eastern side of the lower flat of his premises when four unidentifiable men- two armed with handguns – rushed into the bond.

They ransacked it and made off with $200,000 before shooting him.

Police investigations are ongoing.
