Hand-in-Hand offers free Life Insurance to healthcare workers
The current global pandemic, COVID-19, is affecting lifestyles, families, businesses and communities in and out of Guyana. To help with easing the burden, several local organizations have offered their support by assisting the less fortunate and the more vulnerable areas.
Guyana’s longest established insurer, Hand-in-Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Company Ltd is one of those companies which have donated food hampers and cleaning supplies.
Most recently, Hand-in-Hand Mutual Life Assurance Company Ltd pledged their support by offering one year free Life Insurance coverage to all public healthcare workers countrywide.
In a simple presentation at the Company’s head office recently, Hand-in-Hand’s Human Resources/Admin Manager Zaida Joaquin presented the official group certificate of insurance to Dr. Melissa Rickett, Emergency Medicine Specialist at GPHC and Human Resources Director of GPHC, Rohmena Chung. The group certificate of insurance was issued to offer coverage for medical professionals who would have opted for the offer.
Joaquin expressed the Company’s sincere appreciation for the dedication and commitment of all health care workers, especially during this pandemic .
Similarly, Chung expressed gratitude to Hand-in-Hand for recognising the efforts of the healthcare team, as they work tirelessly to ensure the health and wellbeing of everyone, especially those infected with the COVID-19 virus.
