Police on Saturday said they are investigating the murder of Terence Alstrom, 66, a pensioner of Track B Kuru Kururu, Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
Alstrom’s body was found lying motionless in his yard with a chop to the head and bruises to the upper back at about 22:30h Friday. The house was found undisturbed but his cell phone is missing.
The Guyana Police Force in a statement disclosed that Alstrom lived alone on his farm which is located two miles in the Kuru Kururu backdam. His children would frequently check on him. They last heard from him Thursday.
The body is presently at Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
