Discussions on West Indies hosting South Africa this year ongoing

Discussions are ongoing between Cricket West Indies (CWI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) about the possibility of a bilateral series in the Caribbean later this year.

News Room understands CWI ‘is in regular dialogue with CSA’ about the possibility of the tour happening in September.

“Nothing is confirmed,” CWI CEO Johnny Grave told News Room Tuesday night. “We are trying to host them in September.”

South Africa last toured the Caribbean in 2016 for a Tri-Nation ODI series involving West Indies and eventual champions Australia.

The Proteas’ last Test and T20 series were in 2010, when they won the three-match Test series 2-0 and both T20s.
