Former Golden Jaguars defender Walter Moore is now officially a UEFA B Licence Coach, as he seeks to pursue a career in the sport beyond the pitch. Moore, 35, who had a career lasting two decades, completed the course last year, but received his diploma on Thursday.

“Finally my diploma is here. God is the greatest,” he posted on social media.

Moore represented Guyana 74 times and scored five goals since his senior national team debut in February 2004.

He told News Room Sport on Thursday that “it’s a good feeling” to add another achievement to his list.

“Now I can pass on the knowledge I gained as a player to other young upcoming players,” he said.

“Personally, I feel coming from Guyana with not much coaches with these diploma I’m pushing to get my Pro Licence; after that would I love to come back and help the kids back home.”

During his playing days, the Golden Jaguars #5 represented local sides Santos FC, Georgetown Football Club, Alpha United, Slingerz FC and Fruta Conquerors, and also plied his trade overseas, turning out for FF Jaro (Finland), AC Oulu (Finland), FC Astana (Kazakhstan), FC Vostok (Kazakhstan), Charlotte Eagles (USA), Caledonia AIA (Trinidad) and North East Stars (Trinidad).
