President, First Lady test negative for COVID-19

President David Granger and First Lady, Mrs. Sandra Granger have both tested negative for the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Ministry of the Presidency official, Ariana Gordon has indicated.

The test was administered to them on Monday, July 27, 2020.

President Granger had urged Guyanese to adhere to the various precautionary measures promulgated since March 2020 to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The President urged also that all persons who develop signs and symptoms of the disease to seek urgent medical attention.

The Head of State reminded that COVID-19 is a global pandemic for which there is no cure. He said fighting the pandemic requires collective and continuous action by all.

    The “Head of State” should step aside and let the poorer people get a leg up on this terrible pandemic. But hey don’t sacrifice that 14 vehicle motorcade for the poor.

    Are they sure the tests came back negative?? Maybe they need to conduct a recount sorry , test again !!

    This guy Granger is no longer the president. He lost the election. He’s just pretending.I hope madame chair does the right thing and declare the rightful president.Then law enforcement will have to step in and remove him and the rigging cabal from the premises.This guy has no dignity and decency in him.
