A 79-year-old man from Beterverwagting on the East Coast of Demerara is the country’s 22nd COVID-19 death.
The News Room was reliably informed that Norbert Grant passed away at 12:30h Tuesday in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital.
He has been a patient of the ICU since July 18.
Two days ago, a 34-year-old East Bank of Demerara man also died from COVID-19.
Doodkumar Sookraj was registered as Guyana’s 21st COVID-19 death; he passed away on Thursday, July 30 but the information was only released the media on August 02.
Guyana to date has 474 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
