16 new COVID-19 cases

Guyana on August 8 recorded 16 new COVID-19 cases –ten males and six females –bringing the total number of known cases to 554.
The new cases were recorded from 115 cases.
With 22 deaths and 189 recoveries, there are 343 active cases in institutional isolation including three persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
There are 38 persons in institutional quarantine. To date, 5,280 persons have been tested for COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health did not reveal where the 16 new cases were recorded.
