Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago has claimed victory in the country’s elections.

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar said her UNC party has asked for a recount for three marginal seats and so she was not ready to concede. She said the numbers were close.

“We fought a very good fight,” she said, adding that she was “surprised” at the results.

The PNM claims victory with 22 seats while the UNC secured 19.

The Trinidad and Tobago elections commission will have to declare the results after the recount.

Ha…..Trinidad don’t have no Mingo’s or Lolo’s.? No lawyers to show that 19 is higher than 22 After all 1 is only 1 less than 2 and 9 is 7 more than 2…..so net 19 is 6 more seats than 22 and with that maths my wife gets 18 more months of free salary…..you do the maths!

Trini’s know nothing. They havin a lil recount and that should be done this AM……not in January 2021. Congrats to the PNC for embarrassing Guyanese everywhere.
