Works on the Leguan Stelling will recommence today until August 16 but there will be no disruption to the regular schedule for the ferry service, the Ministry of Public Works announced Wednesday evening.
Residents of Leguan are asked to note that there will be a short period of disruption from Monday, August 17 until further notice as the contractor will begin driving piles along the main carriageway.
A change of schedule will be published by the Transport and Harbours Department on Friday, August 14.
Residents are asked to adhere to all precautionary measures and signage within the working zone.
Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill on Tuesday met with the contractor for the stelling, S. Maraj Contracting Services, where they discussed the way forward for the troubled infrastructure.
Works on the stelling have been stalled for about three months now.
The former Government had commenced emergency works to the tune of $413 million after a section of the stelling collapsed in December 2019.
