Homeless man found murdered in Durban Park

Police are investigating the Durban Park, Georgetown murder of a homeless man.

The man has been identified as 51-year-old Clint Gravesande. He had occupied one of the stands in the Park.

His body was discovered early Friday with multiple stab wounds.

The Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean, told the News Room that the body was discovered with five stab wounds, two to the neck and three to the back.

Further investigations revealed a trail of bloodstains from the top of the stand to where the body was found.

The Commander said the man’s sister said he was last seen alive Thursday about 16:30h.

Police are in the process of reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
