Guyana on August 15 recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases bringing the overall known cases to 674.
With 22 deaths and 310 recoveries, there are 104 active cases in institutional isolation, including seven persons in the Intensive Care Unit and 21 in home isolation.
There are 73 persons in institutional quarantine. Of the total cases, 334 are males and 340 are females.
The Ministry of Health did not reveal where the new cases were recorded.
Region One has 104 cases, Region Two has eight, Region Three has 29, Region Four recorded 190 cases, one case in Region Six, 155 cases in Region Seven, 10 in Region Eight, 138 in Region Nine and 39 cases in Region 10.
Thus far, a total of 5,933 persons have been tested for COVID-19.
