The Ministry of Health on Saturday reported four new COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of cases to 1,184, inclusive of 35 deaths.
The four new cases were recorded in Region Four bringing the total number of cases in the Demerara – Mahaica region to 406.
There are nine persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The Ministry on its COVID-19 dashboard also reported three more recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries to 636.
The number of persons in institutional isolation is 96 and 413 are in home isolation while 121 persons are in institutional quarantine.
To date, 8,079 persons have been tested for the deadly virus.
