72 new COVID-19 cases, 43 more in Region Four

A total of 72 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Monday from a total of 215 tests.

The total know cases are now at 1,306 inclusive of 41 deaths; two new deaths were recorded on Monday.

According to the dashboard released by the Ministry of Health,15 new cases were recorded in Region One, one in Region Two, five in Region Three, 43 in Region Four, one in Region Six, six in Region Seven and one in Region Nine.

The dashboard revealed that 12 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC).

There are 538 persons in isolation – 87 in institutional isolation and 451 in home isolation.

So far, 718 persons have recovered while 129 are in institutional quarantine.

The total number of persons tested to date is 8,510.

The Government on Monday reverted to the 6pm to 6am curfew as a result of increased COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Further, everyone is asked to always use a facemask correctly and consistently when leaving their homes, practice physical distancing, and observe good hygiene to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
