Four busted with fake currency in Corriverton

Police have arrested three males and a female in connection with the discovery of $320,000 suspected forged Guyana currency noted at Grant 1803 Crabwood Creek, Corriverton on Monday night.

Police Headquarters in a statement noted that ranks acted on information received and conducted a search at the location at around 21:30h when they made the discovery in $5,000 notes.

Further investigations led Police to another house a short distance away at Grant 1806 where they found a White HP Desk jet printer and two laptop computers which they suspect were used to produce the forged notes.

The suspects along with the forged currency notes and devices were taken to Springlands Police Station where they remain in custody assisting with the investigation.
