The Speaker of the National Assembly Manzoor Nadir and his Clerk Sherlock Isaacs were Tuesday afternoon sanitized after being informed that Member of Parliament Christopher Jones recently tested positive for COVID-19.

The Speaker confirmed to the News Room that the Health Minister Dr Frank Anthony indicated to him that that the Opposition Parliamentarian had tested positive for the dreaded virus.

The News Room also understands that Mr Jones was informed of his results. Mr Jones had met with the Speaker and the Clerk on Tuesday on a separate matter and they were then subsequently informed that he had tested positive.

Mr Jones attended the opening of the 12th Parliament at the Arthur Chung Conference Center Tuesday and was sworn in an APNU+AFC Parliamentarian after which he was elected Chief Whip.

The Speaker and the Clerk were then subjected to Health protocols which included being sprayed with a sanitising agent. They will be monitored and expected to take a COVID-19 test within seven days.

It is a well-known health protocol for persons who test for COVID-19 to go into quarantine until they receive their results; from all indications, it appears as if Mr Jones did not adhere to the protocol.

Numerous efforts made by the News Room to contact Mr Jones proved futile.

Well Lampy pretty tight with Pampy so they both better get tested……we do not want to wipe out our Parliament.

The PNC needs to stop the nonsense of organized protests ……just stop it…..you are going to kill innocent persons who trust you and some that don’t.
