Fifteen new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Friday bringing the total number of cases in Guyana to 1,416 including 46 deaths.
According to the Ministry of Health’s dashboard, 13 of the new cases were recorded in Region Four while one was recorded in Region One and one in Region Three.
The new cases emerged from 88 tests done on Thursday.
There are 14 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital. Fifty-five persons are in institutional isolation while 459 are on home isolation.
As of Friday, 39 additional persons have recovered bringing the total recoveries to 844.
There are 92 persons in institutional quarantine.
