Guyana on September 6 recorded nine new COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of known cases to 1,468, including 46 deaths and 954 recoveries.
There are 14 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Of the nine new cases, one was recorded in Region One, two in Region Three, three in Region Four, one in Region Six, one in Region Seven and one in Region Nine.
The Ministry of Health reported that there are a total of 454 persons in insolation – 52 in institutional isolation and 402 in home isolation while 97 persons are in institutional quarantine.
A total of 9,403 persons have been tested to date.
