Annandale woman robbed at gunpoint after exiting route 44 minibus
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a 57-year-old woman of Annandale, East Coast Demerara who was robbed of her valuables and cash after exiting a route 44 minibus on Monday evening.
A statement from Police Headquarters noted that the victim disembarked the minibus on the southern carriage of the Annandale Public Road when she was attacked by three men on bicycles, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The stole the woman’s Samsung Galaxy S4 cellular phone valued $25000, a shoulder purse valued $5000 and $10,000 in cash.
The suspects escaped; no arrests have been made.
