The Ministry of Health has reported two more COVID-19 deaths bringing the total number of deaths to 54 and 49 new cases moving the overall total to 1,812.

The Ministry did not say where the patients died but noted that “samples were collected from both at the time of admission and were tested positive for COVID-19.”

As it relates to the 49 new cases, four were recorded in Region One, two in Region Two, three in Region Three, 26 in Region Four, one in Region Seven and 13 in Region Nine.

According to the Ministry’s daily dashboard, the new cases resulted from 171 tests.

There are 48 persons in institutional isolation and 504 persons in home isolation.

So far, 1,191 persons have recovered while 86 suspected cases are in institutional quarantine.
