75 new COVID-19 cases pushes total to 2,102

Guyana on Friday recorded 75 new COVID-19 cases from 260 tests, pushing the country’s total known cases to 2, 102 with 16 persons in the COVID-19 ICU.
There are 644 persons in home isolation and 66 in institutional isolation. The number of recoveries is now 1, 314 and the number of deaths is at 62.
Region Four recorded 41 new cases, Regions Seven and Three each recorded nine new cases, Region Nine recorded nine cases, Region One has four more cases and Regions Five and Ten recorded one new case each.
Region Four continues to record the highest number of cases with 849; this is followed by Region Nine with 338, Region One with 297, Region Seven with 272 and Region Three with 153.
The total number of tests done to date is 11, 771.
