Guyana now has over 1,000 active COVID-19 cases

Guyana on Tuesday recorded 35 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of known cases to 2,437.

With 830 persons in home isolation, 163 in institutional isolation and 16 in the COVID-19 ICU there are 1, 009 active cases.

The 68^th COVID-19 death was recorded earlier on Tuesday; the latest victim is a 74-year-old woman from Region One.

So far, 1361 persons have recovered and 12, 454 persons have been tested for the disease.

The new cases on Tuesday were recorded in Region Three with five new cases, Region Four with 26 cases, Regions Five and Six with one new case each and Region Ten recorded two new cases.
