An accident on the Adventure Public Road, Soesdyke/Linden Highway on Friday night has left a young Police Constable, his fiancé and three children injured.

Police Headquarters in a statement noted that the 24-year-old cop, who is a resident of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, was driving a black Toyota Allion car south along the road with his 25-year-old finance and three children inside – a 7-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy and a four-month-old infant.

The cop claimed that the left rear tyre blew out and caused the car to pull right; he lost control and the car topped several times off the road and landed south on the eastern parapet.

They were all extracted from the vehicle by public-spirited citizens and rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex where they were treated for minor injuries.

Police said the 7-years-old girl was admitted for a broken left leg. The accident occurred at around 22:30h.
