Deandra Dottin contributed with bat and ball, but her efforts could not prevent England’s Women from taking an unassailable 3-0 lead in their five T20 series, which continued on Saturday in Derby.

The hosts won the toss and opted to bat first, posting 154-6, and then limited the Caribbean side to 134-5.

Natalie Sciver, who was named Player-of-the-Match, led England’s batting with 82 (61 balls; 9x4s, 1×6) and skipper Heather Knight made 29. Shamilia Connell picked up 2-13 and Dottin, bowling for the first time in the series, had 2-29.

West Indies Women, chasing for the third time in the series, were 72-2 in the 11th over, but England pulled things back in the final half of the innings.

Dottin, with top scores of 69 and 38 in the first two games, again led West Indies scorers with 63, while Hayley Matthews made 21. Bowling for England, Sarah Glenn and Katherine Brunt had 2-18 and 2-29 respectively.

The final two games of the series are slated for September 28 and 30.
