PNC’s Deron Adams to take up post as Chairman of Region 10
Deron Adams, one-time Party Chairman for the People’s National Congress in Region 10, was Monday morning elected the new Chairman of the Regional Democratic Council.
He secured a total of 15 votes to head the 18-man Council when the election was held. Adams will replace Renis Morian as the Regional Chairman.
The APNU+AFC, of which Adams was a candidate, won the Region in the recently completed general and regional elections with a total of 19,169 votes.
This gives the Coalition a total of 15 seats on the Council while the People’s Progressive Party got three seats.
The Vice-Chairman, Douglas Gittens, also an APNU+AFC Candidate, was also elected.
