Less than two hours after recording its 83rd COVID-19 death, two more persons have died from the disease taking the death toll to 85 which represents the third death for the first day in the month and ninth for this week.
The Ministry of Health late Thursday night reported that two males – ages 73 and 69 – died while receiving care at a medical facility; they are both from Region Four.
Earlier Thursday evening, a 46-year-old man died while receiving care.
September was recorded the deadliest month for COVID-19 in Guyana with 41 deaths for the month.
