Guyana on Friday recorded 39 more COVID-19 cases taking the overall known cases to 2,968 of which 15 persons are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Of the 39 new cases, Region One recorded 11, Region Three recorded nine, Region Four recorded 16, Region Six recorded two more cases and Region Nine recorded one new case.
There are 165 persons in institutional isolation and 927 persons in home isolation. The number of recovered cases is at 1,776 while there are 281 persons in institutional quarantine. The total deaths is at 85. To date, 14,520 persons have been tested for the disease.
