One more COVID-19 death; 18 in ICU as cases surpass 3,000

Guyana on Saturday recorded its 86th COVID-19 death. The Ministry of Health reported that the latest fatality is a 74-year-old woman from Region Four.

The patient died while receiving care at a medical institution at about 14:00h. This is the fourth COVID-19 death for the month and the 10th for this week.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases is now 3,005 with 37 new cases reported on Saturday. There are 18 persons in the COVID-19 ICU which previously had a capacity for 16 patients.

There are 851 persons in home isolation, 144 in institutional isolation and 64 in home quarantine. The number of recoveries is 1,907.

The new cases were recorded in Region One with nine cases, Region Two with one case, Region Four with 19 new cases, Region Six with two new cases, Region Eight with one new case and Region Ten with two cases.

    All of these deaths are because the Nation was held hostage by the rigging crew during the period of time when we most needed a legitimate Government in power.

    All of the deaths are on the rigging crew and their supporters. Think about that folks.
