The Ministry of Health on Sunday reported two additional COVID-19 deaths just hours after two others died, bringing the death toll to 89.
The latest fatalities are two males from Baramita and Port Kaituma in Region One, both aged 56. The Ministry said they both died while receiving medical care.
Their samples which were taken upon admission to medical facilities came back positive for COVID-19.
The latest deaths represent the fourth COVID-19 death for the weekend and the seventh for the month.
The Ministry earlier reported the 87th COVID-19 death as a 68-year-old male from Bartica, Region Seven. This patient also died while receiving medical care on Saturday.
