    Guyana on Wednesday recorded 104 new COVID-19 cases pushing the overall known cases in the country to 3,292 of which 15 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.

    There are a total of 1,098 active cases of which 159 are in institutional isolation and 939 persons are isolating at home. The number of recoveries stands at 2,084 while 55 persons are in institutional quarantine.

    Of the 104 new cases, Region One recorded 23 new cases, Region Two with one new case, Region Three recorded six more cases, Region Four recorded 43 new cases, Region Five with one new case, Region Six recorded three more cases, Region Seven recorded seven additional cases, Region Eight has 13 more cases, Region Nine two more cases and Region 10 five more cases.

    The number of deaths is at 98 but only 95 is recorded on Wednesday’s dashboard. The number of persons tested for the virus so far is 15,360.
