A 17-year-old school dropout of Benprofit Drive, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara (ECD) who escaped from Police custody in March 2020, was on Saturday recaptured at Ogle Old road, ECD, a statement from the Guyana Police Force noted.
The teen, Otis Slowe was remanded to the Juvenile Holding Centre on November 18, 2019 for the attempted murder of former national boxer Gladwin Dorway which occurred on June 30, 2019 at Plaisance.
On the night of the incident, it was reported that Dorway known as ‘Tiger’ and the teen were involved in a fight when the teen whipped out a knife and stabbed him before making good his escape.
He was later arrested and charged while the former boxer spent several days at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
