Guyana on Tuesday recorded 44 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total known cases to 3, 565. There are 16 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 132 in institutional isolation and 876 in home isolation. This means there are 1, 025 active cases in isolation.
To date 106 persons have died and 2, 435 have recovered. An additional 39 persons are in institutional quarantine.
The new cases were recorded in Region One with 29 cases, Region Four with 13 new cases and Region Three with two new cases.
To date 16, 215 COVID-19 tests have been done both through the public health and private health system.
