Head of US Development Bank in Guyana for talks with gov’t, private sector

Adam Boehler, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, is leading a one-day mission to Guyana.

According to a short statement from the United States Embassy in Georgetown, Boehler will be discussing investment opportunities and highlighting the U.S. Government’s Growth in the Americas initiative to support economic growth and security cooperation in the region.

The DFC invests across sectors including energy, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and technology. DFC also provides financing for small businesses and women entrepreneurs.

During his visit, the CEO will meet with the Government, the local Private Sector Commission (PSC) and other stakeholders.

The visit comes less than one month after the official visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who travelled to Guyana on September 18.
